A truly unique French transition period commode with four drawers. From the front there is a thin top Drawer next a “False Drawer” and below it a full size drawer. The sides of the commode each have a drawer which fill the space (depth, width and height) of the false drawer.
Exceptional bronze doré “Ormoulu”
The front of the commode is slightly “Arbalette”
Marquetry of tulip wood (bois de rose in French) inlaid in “aile de on Oak with a Pine Back. papillon” shape (butterfly aisle) with a very good French polish
The Marble Top is a light French Languedoc
finely “Chantourne” bottom crossbar.
