Interesting walnut cartel clock in Louis XIV style, made toward the end of Napoleon III period, that can be lay down on any piece of furniture. Adorned by chased and gilded bronze “Espagnolettes” in front corners and “pot a feux” above. The brass circular dial has blue roman numerals on white glazed supports and is surmounted by an urn “a l’antique”.  Handmade steel hands. Supported by lion’s muzzle designed feet. Large clear glass panel below the dial to view the swinging sun burst pendulum. Eight days time and strike movement made by Japy Freres et Cie (Paris), circa 1867.
