Charles X reign (1824-1830) was short but at least provided some creativity and a certain elegance to furniture in clear wood, (ash or maple mostly), inlaid with dark wood or the reverse.
This very large table made toward the end of 19th Century is made of both solid and veneered ash, with a dark wood filet all around on top. Supported by four legs curved in console shape and terminated by bronze doré claw feet. Comes with a single central leaf (lodged under the top).
One can seat up to 14 people easily!
