Very elegant four pieces set includes Tea pot and Coffee pot both with hinged lids, sugar bowl with removable lid and creamer. Neo-classical Louis XVI style with baluster shape on pedestal and a decor of godrons and shells. Gorgeous handles made of beautifully carved Palissandre (Brasilian Rosewood). Each piece carries two clear hallmarks. One is the French State “1er titre Minerve” guaranteing at least 950/1000 silver content. The other is the Maker’s mark:” Lion Passant” with G on its left and B on its right for Gombert & Bibollet, master silversmiths in Paris (1913-1924). Beautiful model with great chasing and “heavy” feeling when holding it.
