Lovely 1930 Goldscheider (Vienna) ceramic bas-relief designed by Simon Montenave (French XIX-XX). Its title is “Femme Pensive” (pensive woman) and is a painted and patinated ceramic bas-relief in the Art Deco style.
Goldscheider Porcelain Manufacturer was founded in 1855 in Vienna (Wien in German). They were setting the standards and style for Art Deco ceramics with an enormous success worldwide by attracting both the famous Artists just as the young innovative one.
Signed Montenave bottom right and on the top, incized are “Goldscheider Wien” and Model number.
Excellent condition.
