Rare and superb Louis XV period inkstand finely chased and gilded bronze base in a Rocaille decor of stylized leaves and shells. At top, resting on a Chinoiserie lacquered wooden tray, the Rocaille gilt bronze pen holder and two inkwell in gilt bronze, as well adorned by oak leaves surmounted by a brown bronze acorn to hold the top. Those inkwells are surrounded by lacquered wooden bowl. Extremely decorative ink stand which would provide elegance to any place in the house but also on top of a table or desk.
