Wonderful original mid-18th century trestle table in oak from a Monastery (in Normandy) with two trestle supports linked by a longitudinal stretcher beam and a 2″ thick tabletop.
It’s an ideal dining table as those seated are not inconvenienced as they might be with more usual fixed legs in each corner and sometimes also in the middle!
