Remarkable chandelier by its design and rare glass color quality executed by “Muller Freres’ when at Luneville (City close to Nancy).
Gorgeous hammered and blackened wrought iron frame and fixtures decorated with vine leaves and grapes and carrying three handblown glass shades hanging around the large glass centre bowl. Multi layered glass colored in a mervellous yellow, blue and orange swirls at top and then acid etched.
Each glas part is signed “Muller Fres Luneville”
The Muller were nine brothers, six of them having been taught by Galle. They took their independence by 1900 and today are recognized Internationally as great “Glass masters”particularly for their unique ability to superimpose up to 14 layers of glass and exceptional glass colors knowledge. They always were artisans, not industrials.
