Rare oak table with 10 numbered drawers on the inside with roman numerals carved and on the drawer fronts more recently stenciled (5 drawers on each side) coming from a Religious Community next to the city of Lille. It rests on six beautifully turned legs joined by a “H ” shaped stretcher and terminated by “Toupie ” feet The table has a truly gorgeous patina from top to bottom.
Each Community member had an appointed drawer for storing her Utensils, Plate, Cup, Napkin etc…

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES: Hand-Crafted Oak
CONDITION: Good. Seems there was something nailed around the edge of the top of the table, perhaps some sort of covering so there are small nail holes around the edge as seen in photos, wear from use on drawers and legs. Overall good condition.
WEAR: Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses.
