Louis Icart (Toulouse 1888-Paris 1950), an artist of the Art Deco Period portrayed beautifully modeled figure of women having short hairs, high heels and red lipstick, surrounded by the luxurious environment of the 1920’s. “La robe de Chine” we present here, is an original etching drypoint and aquatint printed in colors and finished with hand coloring, numbered 62 and signed “Louis Icart” in pencil (lower right).  At top left, marked in pencil also “copyright 1926 by Les graveurs Modernes, 194 rue de Rivoli Paris.”
