Beautiful and authentic early 19th Century commode in “French polished”. Flame mahogany veneer on oak. Chest has five drawers in total, with four having escutcheons, three fabulous pair of handles and one so called, “secret drawer” at the bottom, opening by pulling from the bottom. Gorgeous gilded bronze mounts as handles, escutcheons and acanthus leaves decor on front side posts. Grey Sainte -Anne marble top with rounded corners in front. Resting on four feet, the two in front shaped “en Toupie”. Comes with its original locks and a precious and rare key, as well as its also original castors.
