French Louis XVIII Period Marble Top Gueridon Table

Early French Restauration Period, just after the fall of Napoleon, the Gueridon was the most in vogue furniture with a style exactly like the one presented here and very different from the Empire style.
It has a gorgeous mahogany veneer -with a lustrous French polish on mahogany with a six faces baluster central column on a base resting on a tripod having scrolled consoles supported by carved and ebonized paw feet on casters. Each side of the column and each part of the tripod is adorned by superb chased and or moulu coated bronze acanthus leaves. Grey Sainte -Anne marble top .
A great classic of the time with an extremely high quality of workmanship and outstanding condition.
