Handmade and wood pegged oak Buffet, painted in a blue-gray color, having two drawers, two doors and a wood top. Made in Burgundy, toward the end of the 18th Century, in Louis XV-Louis XVI Transition style.
From Louis XV, it has the arched feet and the “chantourne” lower crosspiece. From Louis XVI, it has the sober front doors moldings, one only being scrolled with the typical “escargot” carving from Burgundy, fluted front posts as well as the “dormant” in between the two door panels and stylized large “rosace” in the center. Classical undented black metal hardware on doors and drawers. The interior has its original shelf.
