France – Circa 1870
A fine Parisian Louis XV style Tulip wood veneer chest with well executed floral marquetry in exotic woods on the 3 bombes sides.This commode is bronze trimmed, has two “sans traverse” ( without crossbar in between) drawers and is rising on 4 curved feet terminated by bronze sabots in front. Gorgeous 1″ thick mottled beige and with mouldings “Breche d’Alep” (Aleppo, Syria) marble top.
