Rare and handsome pair of solid and veneer mahogany freestanding console tables in half moon shape. The central foot is ornate by the bust of a black patinated bronze winged Cariatide and terminated by Lion’s claws. Mahogany panel in the back flanked by pilaster strips and for the base a demilune plinth. The solid wooden top is edged by great moldings which provide an obvious visual relief.
Beautiful chiselled and doré bronze ornamentation on the frieze mahogany band with Head of Mercury on both sides and an Arts, Science and War Trophy on center. The back panels are also decorated with gilded bronze representing Palmettes at each corner and a winged Cariatide in its center
