Very elegant chandeliers in typical Louis XV “Birdcage” style. Each deploys around a gilded bronze structure made of four stems holding a bobeche but also linking the bottom canopy to the one above and four shorter stems holding simply the bobeches. These thin metal skeleton has sineous curves covered with crystal plaquettes and therefore seems to discretly wear away. These characteristics are providing an incredible lightness look which was the purpose of the style. Of course it is also ornated by gorgeous decor of rosaces, plaquettes and prisms.
The central area above the lowest canopy is made of three hand blown crystal balusters (“pieces d’empilage”) when the one above the top canopy has two pieces. From the polished brass top canopy are departing six bronze arms also covered with a crystal decor.
Each chandelier is terminated by a suspended hand made crystal sphere.
