Extremely decorative clock (named Cartel in French) in mahogany inlaid with gorgeous chiselled and gilded bronzes representing roses and acanthus leaves. Top is surmounted by a bronze doré’ “Urn a l’antique” topped by a pine cone. The large white glazed dial has both black Roman and Arabic numerals and is marked “Planchon in Paris. Wonderful hand cutted brass hands.
The movement inside marked “Marti&Cie, 1889, Medaille d’Argent” runs for eight days and strikes the hours.
Got its pendulum and key.
