18th Century Exceptional French Commode

A genuinely unique French transition period commode with four drawers. From the front there is a thin top Drawer next a "False Drawer" and below it a full-size drawer. The sides of the commode each have a drawer which fills the space (depth, width, and height) of the false drawer. Exceptional bronze doré "Ormolu". The front of the commode is slight "Arbalette" Marquetry of tulip wood (Bois de rose in French) inlaid in "file de on Oak with a Pine Back. Papillon" shape (butterfly aisle) with an excellent French polish The Marble Top is a light French Languedoc finely "Chantourne" bottom crossbar.
