China Ca 1750

Mid-Qing dynasty was rare and very meticulously cast in bronze incense burner depicting a Chines guardian lion, commonly known as Foo Dogs. It is believed by Scholars that Chines Sculptors modeled lion statues after native dogs. This one carries a sign, (the sun?) on its head.
