19th Century Italian Pietra Dura and Cast Iron Gueridon

A very fine mid-19th century Florentine pietra dura inlaid decor on an octagonal black Belgian table marble top. The pietra dura inlay depicting a colorful circular garland of flowers and foliage made of semi-precious hard stones such as malachite, lapis lazuli, jasper, carnelian, agate, chalcedony, etc. In the center an octagonal medallion of vivid lapis lazuli surrounding a multi-colored stone decor. The marble top rests on a 19th-century beautiful cast iron leg terminated by a tripod on casters.
